She has directed and presented seminars in IEP planning and implementation for other educators and trained teacher candidates for two years.

Dr. Smith previously with California State University, Long Beach to establish a program for the current students with an ASD (autism spectrum disorder) or other social-cognitive deficits. She sees the need for accommodations of students with disabilities. Currently, she serves as the Director of Disability Support Services at Moreno Valley College.

This foundation was created after her realization for the need of additional assistance for students as well as their parents; a need that the schools were unable or unwilling to provide. Dr. Smith wanted to offer the ability for children to succeed and at the same time not damage the budgets of hard working parents. All of the above is why the World of Learning Foundation was formed with a not-for-profit designation. Dr. Smith founded the World of Learning Foundation after having taught children and directed programs for over ten years at both private and non-public institutions as well as in higher education.

Testimonials

Nicole Smith provided educational support for my son Aaron for a little over 5 years. Aaron was diagnosed with dyslexia, dyscalculia, anxiety and depression and school for Aaron was never a good experience. Keeping him on task was not easy, but Nicole could always relate to my corky teenager, even when he was moody.
I could always rely on Nicole for homework and test preparation. Nicole worked with Aaron on the CAHSEE during the summer and he passed on the first try! Which brought me to tears!
Nicole was available for his IEP meetings and accompanied me to his meetings. She even assisted the inexperienced special education teacher with writing the IEP correctly. Her extensive special education back ground was invaluable to myself and to Aaron. I’m truly thankful for all the support help she has given to my family.
